Hi, my name is Arthur, Arthur Anthony – and upon leaving Joinery in 2000, I moved into the Tourism Industry as a Taxi Driver/Tour Guide.
On many occasions as I toured the countryside, I would stop at my parents home to treat my guests to some of our local fruits.
Very often my Mum would be preparing lunch and we simply couldn’t leave without first experiencing her Lucian hospitality by partaking of the bounty of her kitchen! And every time I made that stop, my guests were always overwhelmed and many were rendered speechless trying to find words to express their love a that really Lushan experience resulting from what for me was always just an innocent stop.
However over the years of visiting home and experiencing my clients responses, deep within, I knew we could do more with this experience – But what exactly was that more, I really didn’t know…
Then in 2004, while driving back from a tour of Soufriere, home of our Majestic Pitons, I truly believe that I had a vision from above to transform my parents seven acres of land into an attraction site to share with the entire world as long as they visited St Lucia!
I brought the vision home to my family and everyone just fell in love with it. We then spent the next three years putting things in place, resulting in Government Certification in 2007 when we opened up “Lushan Country Life” as a Tourism Heritage Site.
Now the world comes to our home and gets to experience the very soil of my birth…
